8:45 Exploring Pellinge and Klovharun
Departure from Porvoo city center at 8:45 and arrival in Pellinge before 10. We will meet a local guide, Lisbeth Forss, and take a boat to Klovharun. Back in Pellinge, we will explore the landscapes of Tove's childhood. Total duration of the guided tour and exploration is about 3-4 hours.

xx:xx Guided tour: Fates of Women with special focus on Tove Jansson's life

During the walking tour, the guide will tell you about the women of Porvoo, especially those behind the great men, and their lives. Fredrika Runeberg was not only a wife and mother but also a writer herself and did important social work. Albert Edelfelt's mother was a significant influence in the life of her artist son. Natalia Linsén was one of Finland's first female photographers, and Ulla Möllersvärd was a lady-in-waiting at the emperor's court and beloved. Additionally, you will hear about female artists and merchants from Porvoo, both past and present. The guide will also discuss the development of women's status and education. 

It is also possible to add a self-guided tour of the Runeberg Home Museum and the Porvoo Museum to the program if there is interest in these.
